    Situándonos en la Pontevedra de la Restauración como culminación de un proceso de expansión urbana que había comenzado ya en 1833 con la concesión de la capitalidad provincial, el presente texto tiene como objeto el análisis de Villa Pilar (1905), construcción indiana promovida por Manuel Martínez-Bautista enclavada en el nuevo eje urbanístico institucional-comercial de la ciudad.

    From the perspective of Pontevedra during the Bourbon Restoration as the zenith of an urban growth already begun in 1833 due to its new condition as the provincial capital, this text aims to analyse Villa Pilar (1905), an “indiano” construction promoted by Manuel Martínez-Bautista located in the new institutional-commercial urban axis of the city.
