Resumen de El busto de Pablo Iglesias en Puente Genil

Este trabajo tiene como propósito el estudio del busto dedicado a Pablo Iglesias, fundador del PSOE, realizado por el escultor Enrique Moreno, situado en la localidad cordobesa de Puente Genil. Además de ello, se presentará un análisis de las motivaciones políticas y sociales que condujeron a su encargo. En relación, se expondrá este proceso, de manera detallada, por medio de la presentación de los documentos recopilados existentes. Por otro lado, se pondrá de manifiesto la entrada del ideario socialista en el municipio y su presencia en el Ayuntamiento durante la II República. Finalmente, con el objetivo de conocer la obra del escultor, se hará un análisis formal y estilístico de la misma.

The purpose of this work is to study the bust dedicated to Pablo Iglesias, founder of the PSOE, made by the sculptor Enrique Moreno, located in the town of Puente Genil in Cordoba. In addition, an analysis of the political and social motivations that led to his commission will be presented. In relation to this, this process will be explained in detail through the presentation of the existing collected documents. Furthermore, the entry of the socialist ideology in the municipality and its presence in the Town Hall during the II Republic will be shown. Finally, with the aim of getting to know the sculptorʹs work, a formal and stylistic analysis will be made of it.
