    En su conjunción con otros proyectos aledaños anunciados más recientemente por Banco Santander, el Centro Botín no parece ajeno a la estrategia empresarial de la familia de su apellido. A la Ciudad, le sirve para avanzar en la consecución de una marca cultural propia. Al ciudadano, más allá de las innegables bondades de sus contenidos, le ofrece la posibilidad de descubrir desde sus miradores unos barrios hasta ahora ocultos, al menos para quien no vaya buscando solo la postal. En esa ladera sur que no se ve a ras de suelo, asoman nuevos intereses inmobiliarios que se enfrentan ante nuestros ojos con agentes sociales cuya voz tampoco se había hecho oír antes. En las paredes de sus calles se hallan los documentos efímeros, dejado alguno por el propio centro de arte, que ayudan a explicar el atractivo de ese otro paisaje.

    Seen together with other neighboring projects more recently announced by Banco Santander, the Centro Botín does not look stranger to the Botín family business strategy. The City makes the most of it to advance in the achievement of its own cultural brand. The citizen, beyond the undeniable benefits of its contents, is offered the possibility of discovering some hidden neighborhoods from its viewpoints, at least those of them who are not only looking for the usual postcard. On that Southern slope that is not visible at ground level, new real estate interests appear opposite our eyes, just as several social agents whose voice had not been heard before do. On the walls of its streets can be found ephemeral documents, some of them by the art center, which help explain the appeal of that other landscape.
