There areincreasingnumbersof Assist Suitsin workplaces where heavyliftingisrequired. Thesesuits aretypicallydesignedtoreducethestress appliedtothelower back region. However,someof the workplaces havestartedto use moreof the knee flexioninordertoreducethestressof thelower back. Thisledtotheresearch oneffective functionstoreducethestress appliedtothe knee. Through the maximum liftingtest and measurementof EMG inthesurface,theeffectof theproposeddevice wasinvestigated. In addition,testing with threedifferentlevelsof assistancestrengths and how it affectsthe wearer’s feelingof the assistanceledtoa findingthat asthelevelof the assistanceincreases,the wearer feels moreassistance accordingly. Furthermore, If the angleof the kneeextension can bemeasured with thedevice usingthe IoH/IoT functionsof the assistedsuits,it couldbe used as anindicationof fatigue accumulatedthrough work by combining with otherindicatorssuch as changesintheduration betweentasks.
