Origen social e inserción laboral de jóvenes en una comunidad autónoma turística como Canarias: un enfoque comparativo

    El objetivo de este artículo es mostrar, de una forma descriptiva, la inserción laboral en función del origen social de las personas jóvenes de Canarias (un territorio con un peso del turismo muy importante) con el País Vasco (una comunidad autónoma donde la importancia del turismo es mucho menor y un tamaño de población similar a Canarias). Así, compararemos los datos de una comunidad autónoma eminentemente turística, con los datos a nivel nacional y con la comunidad autónoma del País Vasco. Se analizará la situación de las personas jóvenes, tanto las que abandonan la ESO como las graduadas en bachillerato, a través del análisis de la Encuesta ETEFIL del Instituto Nacional de Estadística (INE) durante el año 2019. Se presentará la relación existente entre otros factores relacionados con el origen social: el sexo, el nivel de estudios del padre y de la madre y el tiempo transcurrido hasta que consiguió su primer empleo.

    The objective of this article is to show the labor insertion based on the social origin of young people from the Canary Islands (a territory with a very important weight of tourism) with the Basque Country (an autonomous community where the importance of tourism is much less and a population size like the Canary Islands). Thus, we will compare the data of an eminently tourist autonomous community, with the data at the national level and with the autonomous community of the Basque Country. The situation of young people, both those who drop out of ESO and those who graduated from high school, will be analyzed through the analysis of the ETEFIL Survey of the National Institute of Statistics (INE) during 2019. The relationship between other factors will be presented Relationships with social origin: sex, the level of education of the father and mother and the time elapsed until they got their first job.
