  En la guerra colonial, en la que se han dado cientos de batallas y se han enfrentado decenas de Estados a lo largo del siglo XIX y XX, existe una batalla sin la que probablemente no podrían entenderse este tipo de conflictos: la batalla de Isandlwana.

  No fue la mayor y más clara derrota de un ejército moderno a manos de uno nativo pero su leyenda y fama han transcurrido por los lustros como si así lo fuese. En este trabajo se tratará de poner de manifiesto cómo la legendaria batalla de Isandlwana ha sido tratada por el imaginario colectivo y como la particular visión de su director la ha legado a la gran pantalla con un análisis desde el punto de vista militar de la película Amanecer Zulú.

  During the colonial war, in which hundreds of battles have taken place and dozens of states have fought against each other throughout the 19th and 20th centuries, there is a battle without which this type of conflict could probably not be understood: the battle of Isandlwana.

  It was not the biggest and clearest defeat of a modern army at the hands of a native one, but its legend and fame have passed through the decades as if it were. In this work we will try to show how the legendary battle of Isandlwana has been treated by the collective imagination and how the particular vision of its director has bequeathed to the big screen. An analysis about Zulu Down film from military point of view.
