    El presente número invita a reflexionar acerca de la relación teórica entre la crisis y la posibilidad de crítica. A partir de la crisis financiera de 2008, la literatura sociológica acerca de la crisis y sobre sus efectos sociales y políticos se ha multiplicado. En el trasfondo de estas reflexiones, opera – en muchos casos implícitamente – la noción de crítica como hilo conductor. En otras palabras, se podría decir que un grueso de estos análisis liga, al menos de forma tangencial, la crisis con la (im)posibilidad de la crítica.

    Este número de Theorein invita a pensar teóricamente acerca de algunos de los problemas asociados a la formación de la crítica en tanto práctica social, así como también acerca de la relación entre crisis y crítica. Los artículos aquí presentados no ofrecen una respuesta definitiva a esos problemas espinosos: su mérito, como el de todo quehacer teórico, reside en abrir nuevas líneas de investigación empírica y en plantear el desafío de seguir profundizando en otras direcciones algunas líneas existentes.

    This issue invites reflection on the theoretical relationship between the crisis and the possibility of critique. Since the financial crisis of 2008, the sociological literature on the crisis and its social and political effects has multiplied. In the background of these reflections, the notion of critique operates - in many cases implicitly - as a common thread. In other words, one could say that a bulk of these analyses link, at least tangentially, the crisis with the (im)possibility of critique. This issue of Theorein invites us to think theoretically about some of the problems associated with the formation of critique as a social practice, as well as about the relationship between crisis and critique. The articles presented here do not offer a definitive answer to these thorny problems: their merit, like that of any theoretical endeavor, lies in opening new lines of empirical research and in posing the challenge of continuing to deepen in other directions some existing lines.
