Comprensión lectora, producción de textos y bienestar socioemocional en estudiantes de 2.º de básica primaria de la región de Arica y Parinacota, Chile

    El objetivo del estudio fue conocer el desempeño de un grupo de alumnosde básica primaria de la región de Arica y Parinacota en Chile, en las variables produc-ción de textos (PT), bienestar socioemocional (BS), y comprensión lectora (CL). Lamuestra estuvo constituida por 231 estudiantes de veinticuatro instituciones educa-cionales. Se emplearon la prueba de comprensión lectora y producción de textos y elautorreporte de bienestar socioemocional para niños. Los resultados indicaron que elgrupo de hombres tuvo un mejor desempeño en la variable CL; las mujeres, mejoresresultados en la variable PT y, en la comparación por ubicación geográfica, el gruporural mostró un mejor desempeño en la variable BS.

    The objective of the study was to know the performance of a group ofelementary school students from the Arica-Parinacota region in Chile, in the variablestext production (TP), socioemotional well-being (SW), and reading comprehension (RC).The sample consisted of 231 students from 24 educational institutions. The readingcomprehension and text production test, and the Self-Report of Socio-Emotional Well-Being for Children were used. The results indicated that the group of men had a betterperformance in the RC variable; the women obtained better results in the TP variable,and, in the comparison by geographic location, the rural group showed a better perfor-mance in the variable SW.
