Este artículo es una reflexión acerca de la conformación territorial de la actual región de Aysén, Chile, entre 1900 y 1960. Etapa que en sus comienzos se encuentra asociada a la entrega de tierras a inversionistas ganaderos para asentar soberanía y colonizar bajo la modalidad de concesiones, y una presencia tardía del Estado para marcar el territorio con la institucionalidad. Se discute a base de distintos antecedentes por qué Aysén constituye la última región en integrarse a la economía nacional. Se fija como límite del análisis el inicio de la década de 1960, cuando se publican los libros finales de la Geografía Económica de la Corporación de Fomento de la Producción (CORFO), fuente proveedora de estadísticas y la imagen país, cuando se discuten e inician los procesos mayores de reforma agraria y de chilenización de la riqueza minera.

This document reflects on the territorial integration of the Aysen region in Chile between 1900 and 1960. The start of this period is associated with the land awarding to cattle investors to assert sovereignty to colonize through concessions given the late in volvement of the State to institutionalize the region. Aysen was the last region to integrate into the national economy. The análisis ended in the decade of the 1960s when The Economic Geography published the last books of the Corporación de Fomento de la Producción (Corporation of Promoting Production CORFO in Spanish). This source provides statistics and the country's image at a time of significant agrarian reform and the chilenisation of the mining wealth.
