Factores cognitivos asociados al TDAH: implicaciones educativas

    Las investigaciones sobre el perfil cognitivo del alumnado con TDAH han demostrado tener grandes implicaciones en el transcurso del trastorno. Su aplicabilidad al ámbito educativo conlleva repercusiones positivas a nivel académico y emocional. El objetivo de este trabajo descriptivo es reflejar las características cognitivas relacionadas con el TDAH y las implicaciones asociadas al contexto escolar. Para tal fin, contamos con la participación de 127 adolescentes diagnosticados con el trastorno que han realizado el test de inteligencia K-BIT. Los resultados arrojan información sobre las puntuaciones medias obtenidas en las pruebas de Vocabulario, Matrices y CI. Los adolescentes con trastorno hiperactivo obtienen puntuaciones medias en las tres categorías del test K-BIT. Las puntuaciones más elevadas corresponden al test Matrices y al CI. Estos datos sugieren que los adolescentes con TDAH alcanzan mejor rendimiento en las tareas que requieren un componente no verbal. Del mismo modo, reflejan una buena capacidad intelectual. Se discuten algunas implicaciones educativas.

    Research on the cognitive profile of students with ADHD has shown to have great implications in the course of the disorder. Its applicability to the educational field entails positive effects at an academic and emotional level. The aim of this descriptive work is to reflect on the cognitive characteristics related to ADHD and the implications associated with the educational field. To this end, we have the participation of 127 adolescents diagnosed with the disorder who have taken the K-BIT intelligence test. The results provide information on the average pressures obtained in the Vocabulary, Matrices and IQ tests. Adolescents with hyperactive disorder were average in the three categories of the K-BIT test. The highest scores correspond to the Matrices test and the IQ. These data suggest that adolescents with ADHD achieve better performance on tasks that require a nonverbal component. Similarly, it reflects a good intellectual capacity. Some educational suggestions are discussed.
