    A principios del siglo XX, varios naturalistas pertenecientes a la Real Sociedad Española de Historia Natural y en particular uno de ellos, Eduardo Hernández Pacheco, Catedrático de Historia Natural del Instituto Provincial, colectaron orquídeas en la Sierra Morena cordobesa, al norte de la capital. La fnalidad era realizar translocaciones de los ejemplares colectados, tanto en el Real Jardín Botánico de Madrid como en el Jardín Botánico del Instituto Provincial de Córdoba.

    At the beginning of the 20th century, several naturalists belonging to the Royal Spanish Society of Natural History and, in particular one of them, Eduardo Hernández Pacheco, Professor of Natural History at the Provincial Institute, collected wild orchids in Sierra Morena, in the north of Cordoba town. The purpose was to carry out translocations of the collected specimens, both in the Royal Botanical Garden of Madrid and in the Botanical Garden of the Provincial Institute of Córdoba.
