En este trabajo nos proponemos presentar las características y funciones de un teniente de gobernador en la jurisdicción correntina. Indagamos en los mecanismos por los cuales se accedía al cargo, el modo de gestionar y la fluctuante relación con los actores locales, que incluía alianzas y disputas.

The purpose of this study is to introduce the characteristics and the scope of functions of a lieutenant governor within Corrientes jurisdiction. We researched into the procedures by which access to the position occurred as well as the way in which it was managed and the changing relationship with the most influential locals, which included both, disputes and alliances.
