    El final de la Guerra Fríacomportó la rotura de un mundo bipolar y el nudo de conflictividad mundial dejóde ser Este–Oeste.

    Alrededor del año 2000 muchos autores acuñaron el concepto de “nuevas guerras” y teorizaron sobre sus diferencias con las anteriores, ya sea la II Guerra Mundial o la Guerra Fría, buscando las nuevas señas de identidad de los conflictos surgidos a finales del siglo XX.

    Este artículo se centra no tanto en sopesar cuánto hay de nuevo o viejo en las guerras actuales, sino aportar características de los con- flictos actuales que nos ayuden a entender las lógicas de la guerra.

    The end of the Cold War brought with it the break-up of a bipolar world, and the node of global conflict ceased to be East- West. Around the year 2000, many authors coined the concept of “new wars” and theorised how they differed from previous wars, whether World War II or the Cold War, in search of the new hallmarks of the conflicts that emerged at the end of the twentieth century.
