    The author inserts the cordel into a discussion about exile e migration, considering that this literary genre has come from other contexts, adapted itself to Brazilian conditions, being influenced by Indian and African cultures, and interacting with the culture of the asses as the poetry of the voice, the image, while being absorbed by new technologies. A poetry that migrates from and to rural people that are obliged to migrate.

    O texto insere o cordel numa discussão sobre exílio e migração, considerando-se que este gênero literário veio de outros contextos, adaptou-se às condições brasileiras, sofrendo influências indígenas e africanas, e interage com a cultura de massa, como poética da voz, e da imagem, na medida em que absorvida pelas novas tecnologias. Uma poesia que migra de e para uma gente sertaneja que é forçada a migrar.
