  • CMPs and MPSoCs represent the maintrend for high-performance computing. However, asthe number of interconnected elements grows, thenetwork performance may be degraded due to aggressivetraffic patterns and power-saving mechanisms. Inthis paper we propose a mechanism for dealing withcongestion caused by network performance degradation.This mechanism detects congestion at routersand isolates harmful traffic in order to avoid the HoLblockingcaused by congested traffic.
