    • The objective of this work is to determine the most suitable cutting speed and feedfor the dry finish turning of AISI 1045 carbon steel with GC1125 coated carbideinserts, from the cutting temperature and roughness surface of workpiece machined.The temperature was measured using an infrared thermometer, while the surfaceroughness was determined by means of a standard sample. The statistical analysiswas carried out and the multiple linear regression models were determined, besides,the response and contour surface graphs were constructed.
