Resumen de CFD modelling of extreme wind load on hip roof structures

• The Cuban territory is common affected by tropical cyclones of great intensity. Thestrong winds of this weather event generate numerous damages in the housingsector. Among the most used typologies in the country are hip roofs, but the valueselected for the slope varies significantly even between nearby houses. In this workthe wind load for different slope of the roof is obtained by CFD, using an extremewind record.
