La noticia sobre violencia contra la mujer en la prensa española y alemana: estudio comparativo de patrones discursivos

    Mediante un marco teórico constituido por las nociones de cultura y de estándar cultural y por los planteamientos del análisis crítico del discurso, este trabajo desarrolla un estudio contrastivo sobre el tratamiento de las noticias sobre violencia contra la mujer en la prensa española y alemana. A partir de un corpus de textos que dan cobertura a dos sucesos ocurridos en el año 2019 y en los que intervienen los dos países, examinamos tres parámetros discursivos específicos: la estructura y, con ella, los contenidos de los que disponen; la presencia o ausencia de denominaciones específicas para este tipo de crímenes, que, de este modo, queda segregado de otros casos de violencia común; y, por último, el patrón narrativo utilizado para construir el retrato de los protagonistas, agresor y víctima, de estos sucesos. Las divergencias detectadas en estos parámetros indican que ambas comunidades se sitúan en etapas muy distintas en lo que se refiere al tratamiento informativo de estos hechos: la prensa española se halla en una fase avanzada o de normalización, en la que tales informaciones se representan como parte importante de la agenda política y social del país; la prensa alemana, por su parte, responde a una etapa anterior, en la que la violencia de género recibe un encuadre episódico, similar al de cualquier otro crimen violento.

    Using a transdisciplinary theoretical framework, constituted, on the one hand, by the notions of culture and cultural standard and, on the other, by the approaches of critical discourse analysis, we carried out a contrastive study of news articles about gender violence appearing in Spanish and German newspapers in 2019. The study is based on a corpus made up of news from the Spanish and German media that covers two events related to gender violence in which the two countries are involved. We examined three specific discursive parameters: the structure and, with it, the blocks of information they contain; the presence or absence of specific lexical terms for this type of violence in order to segregate it from other cases of common violence; and, finally, the narrative pattern used to construct the portrait of the protagonists, aggressor and victim, of these events. The divergences detected in relation to the parameters investigated indicate that the media of both communities are at very different stages in terms of the informative treatment of these events: the Spanish press is in an advanced or normalized phase, in which such events are represented as part of the political and social agenda of the country; the German press, on the contrary, responds to an earlier stage, in which gender violence receives an episodic frame, similar to the one granted to other violent crimes
