Resumen de Brevirus o la metáfora de la minificción en el ciberespacio

  Antología digital publicada en junio de 2020, Brevirus resulta de la selección de “microrrelatos y otras formas fictivas breves […] que [tratan] la temática de la psicosis colectiva y el confinamiento” (Elphick Latorre). Insertada en la llamada “literatura urgente” o “de emergencia”, reúne entre cuatrocientas y quinientas minificciones escritas por 278 autores oriundos de veintidós países, hispanohablantes en su mayoría. En este estudio, la hibridez del acronímico título de la colección, a la vez temático y remático, lleva a explorar en qué se produce una tematización o metaforización de los procedimientos de escritura o rasgos propios de la minificción, especialmente digital. Unos vaivenes entre contenido temático y características del género minificcional –en su vertiente digital, forma “aguda” de minificción– permiten establecer una serie de analogías entre el virus responsable de la Covid-19 y la pandemia y las propiedades genéricas. Construidas en torno a las nociones de brevedad, virulencia y variedad, contagio y circulación, mutabilidad y variación, estas afinidades hacen de Brevirus el resultado de una forma de metáfora generalizada, manifestación de tenaz resistencia a lo real y muestra de un género “cargado de futuro” (Elphick Latorre).

  The digital anthologyBreviruswas published in June2020 and is a selection of “flash fiction and other short fictional texts [...] [dealing with] collective psychosis and confinement”(Elphick Latorre). It brings together micro-stories written by 278 authors from 22 mostly Spanish speaking countries and is an example of so-called “emergency literature”.This study will argue that the anthology’s hybrid title, a thematic and rhematic portmanteau word, signals a profound affinity between content and form, beyond the work’s thematic evocation of the pandemic.By testing this hypothesis at diegetic, narrative and “metatextual”levels, the article will explore the extent to which the collection provides a metaphorical or thematic treatment of the features and writing processes typical of micro-fiction, especially in its digital form.Connections between the anthology’s thematic content and the characteristics of micro-fictionestablish a series of analogies between the virus causing the Covid-19 pandemic and the genre.By revealing this interplay of reflections and correspondences, the study will demonstrate the anthology’s coherence, richness and efficacy as an example of the role of “emergency”literatureand fiction in society
