    The The article argues about the question of the artistic vanguards in the social context and politician of the European modernism and its relation with the Brazilian modernism. It focuses the week of 22 in São Paulo, the projects of construction of the Ministry of Education in Rio de Janeiro and of the Pampulha in Belo Horizonte, as well as the implantation of the Guignard School and the Week of 44 in Belo Horizonte, during the management of Juscelino Kubitschek in the city hall of the city

    O artigo discute a questão das vanguardas artísticas no contexto social e político do modernismo europeu e sua relação com o modernismo brasileiro.

    Focaliza a Semana de 22 em São Paulo, os projetos de construção do Ministério de Educação no Rio de Janeiro e da Pampulha em Belo Horizonte, bem como a implantação da Escola Guignard e a Semana de 44 em Belo Horizonte, durante a gestão de Juscelino Kubitschek na prefeitura da cidade.
