    La conflictividad social de los siglos XIV y XV es por todos conocida, pero los siglos XI y XII no son ajenos a esta agitación. Este trabajo pretende abordar la problemática de las revueltas sociales de ese período, una época conocedora de tumultos sociales que crearán un clima de tensión tanto en el ámbito urbano como en el rural. Por ello, el objetivo principal del estudio es el de arrojar luz y clasificar los movimientos sociales que tuvieron lugar en la Galicia de los siglos XI y XII. Esta elección viene motivada por la existencia de la Historia Compostelana, una crónica de gran valor histórico que recogió los acontecimientos que tuvieron lugar en el territorio gallego. Todo este trabajo servirá para actualizar y adaptar la propuesta realizada, ya muchos años atrás, por Gutiérrez Nieto para el reino de Castilla-León.

    The social conflict of the XIVth and XVth century is for all known, but the XIth and XIIth centuries are not foreign to this agitation. This work tries to approach the problematics of the social revolts of this period, a knowledgeable epoch of social riots that will create a tension climate both in the urban area and in the rural one.

    Then, the principal aim of the study is of clarifying and classifying the social movements that took place in the Galicia of the XIth and XIIth century. This choice comes motivated by the existence of the Historia Compostelana, a chronicle of great historical value that gathered the events that took place in the Galician territory. All this work will serve to update and to adapt the realized offer, already many years behind, for Gutiérrez Nieto on the Kingdom of Castille and Leon.
