    La madrugada del domingo 7 de junio del año 2004, la familia Barrio fue brutalmente asesinada en su propio domicilio. Este acontecimiento desencadenó una sucesión de líneas investigativas que todavía hoy no han permitido identificar al autor de los hechos.

    La línea argumental del presente trabajo de investigación versa sobre el análisis del Triple Crimen de Burgos, aplicando para ello el método VERA, conocido por sus siglas Víctima, Escena del delito, Reconstrucción del delito, Autor. Así, el grueso de este proyecto encuentra su razón de ser en la elaboración de hipótesis con el propósito final de colaborar en la construcción del perfil psicológico del autor del crimen. Se pone sobre relieve, en definitiva, lo válido de incluir la investigación psicológica a una remota investigación policial que no ha concluido eficientemente.

    In the early morning of Sunday, June 7, 2004, the Barrio family was brutally murdered in their own home. This event triggered a succession of investigative lines that have not yet led to the identification of the perpetrator. The plot line of the present research work concerns the analysis of the Burgos Triple Crime, applying the VERA method, known by its acronym Victim, Crime Scene, Crime Reconstruction, Perpetrator. Thus, the bulk of this project finds its raison in the elaboration of hypotheses with the final purpose of collaborating in the construction of the psychological profile of the perpetrator of the crime. In short, it highlights the validity of including the psychological investigation to a remote police investigation that has not been efficiently concluded.
