    • This paper introduces the issue of the rightsof women with disabilities and illustrates the international,European and domestic sources of law regulating theserights and prohibiting discrimination. In the light of theUN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities,the paper describes how disability has shifted from beinga medical concept to a social concept, and shows that theduty of reasonable accommodation is not only a matterfor states but also for advocacy groups protecting therights of the disabled. It proposes a number of activitiesthat advocates can undertake to ensure access to justice.These include ensuring equality of access to justice throughspecific actions.
