    El Patrimonio Geológico representa una gran riqueza para el Ecuador, gracias a la inmensa diversidad de sus múltiples paisajes, geoformas, georecursos y otros elementos que conforman la herencia geológica de nuestra sociedad. Nuestro país se caracteriza por acogerse a los criterios de sostenibilidad considerando su potencial geoturístico, cuyo objetivo se centra en destacar el patrimonio geológico, la geodiversidad y la biodiversidad de un determinado territorio, logrando así rescatar aquellos lugares de interés que no han sido explorados o explotados en su totalidad, brindando la oportunidad de estudiarlos e interpretarlos, tomando en cuenta no sólo el enfoque turístico, sino también el aspecto didáctico, resaltando las evidencias geológicas claramente visibles, desde su origen hasta su formación.El objetivo de este póster es evaluar nueve geositios del proyecto Geoparque Ancón Santa Elena mediante la metodología de Brilha-Medina considerándolos como herramientas naturales fundamentales para el desarrollo sostenible del sector.Las metodologías de J. Brilha (2016) y Medina (2015) servirán para la calificación cuantitativa de los Ligs sometiéndolos a una serie de criterios en los contextos: científico, educacional, geoturístico/recreacional y degradación de riesgos, asignándoles valores sobre el 100% a cada uno de acuerdo a sus características y de esta manera se obtienen aquellos con cifras más elevadas para ser los lugares de interés geológico.Los nueve destinos de interés geoturístico son la Cordillera Chongón Colonche, Albarradas, Baños de San Vicente, Museo Megaterio, Ancón, La Chocolatera, Mirador de Montañita, Manglar Alto y Olón, donde todos los Ligs tienen un índice de Geoconservación (IG) y un porcentaje de aprobación (PA) Muy Alto reuniendo de esa manera ciertos valores de relevancia, de uso científico, educativo y turístico que los hacen destacables.

    The Geological Heritage represents a great wealth for Ecuador, thanks to the immense diversity of its multiple landscapes, geoforms, georecursos and other elements that make up the geological heritage of our society. Our country is characterized for abiding by the criteria of sustainability considering its geotouristic potential, whose objective is focused on highlighting the geological heritage, the geodiversity and the biodiversity of a certain territory, thus achieving to rescue those places of interest that have not been explored or exploited in its entirety, providing the opportunity to study and interpret them, taking into account not only the tourism focus, but also the didactic aspect, highlighting the clearly visible geological evidence, from its origin to its formation.The objective of this poster is to evaluate nine geosites of the Ancón Santa Elena Geopark project using the Brilha- Medina methodology, considering them as fundamental natural tools for the sustainable development of the sector.The methodology of J, Brilha (2016) -Medina (2015) will serve for the quantitative qualification of the Ligs by subjecting them to a series of criteria in contexts: scientific, educational, geotouristic / recreational and risk degradation, assigning values of 100% to each one according to its characteristics and in this way we obtain those that have the highest figures to be the places of geological interest.The nine destinations of geotourism interest are the Cordillera Chongón Colonche, Albarradas, Baños de San Vicente, Megaterio Museum, Ancón, La Chocolatera, Montanita Viewpoint, Alto Manglar and Olón, where all the Ligs have a Geoconservation index (GI) and an approval percentage (PA) Very High thus gathering certain values of relevance, of scientific, educational and tourist use that make them stand out.
