Resumen de Retrato de James Leen: "Thanathopia", de Rubén Darío. Entre el horror paranormal y el terror psicológico

El presente trabajo aborda el modo en el que, en el cuento ―Thanatopia‖, de Rubén Darío, el dispositivo textual hace oscilar el espectro del verosímil entre el horror por lo sobrenatural y el terror psicológico, produciendo un efecto de indeterminación sobre la entidad de lo narrado que traduce el poder de la ficción para generar realidad conjurando efectos reales a partir de creencias internas y colocando a lo ominoso como eje del relato.

The following article inquire in the way that, in the short story ―Thanatopia‖, by Ruben Darío, the textual device makes oscillate the specter of the verisimilitude between the supernatural horror and the psichological terror, generating an uncertainty effect about the nature of the events that translates the power of fiction to produce reality by internal believes and placing the ominous in the center of the story.
