El aprendizaje en línea, o e-learning, no es más que una variante del sistema tradicional de educación que pretende resolver la comunicación asíncrona entre estudiantes y profesores. El uso intensivo de internet, el desarrollo de la web social (2.0) y el auge de los dispositivos móviles inteligentes han permitido el desarrollo de nuevas modalidades de educación como la educación en línea, que en ocasiones complementa otras modalidades, como la presencial, y da lugar a la modalidad mixta, o “blended learning”. La metodología utilizada para el presente trabajo de investigación, se enfoca hacia una metodología orientada hacia la necesidad de indagar en forma precisa y coherente una situación. Enmarcada dentro de una revisión bibliográfica de tipo documental, ya que nos vamos a ocupar de temas planteados a nivel teórico como es Modelo de enseñanza E- learning y su importancia en tiempos de pandemia en la educación superior. La técnica para la recolección de datos está constituida por materiales impresos, audiovisuales y electrónicos, estos últimos como Google Académico, PubMed, entre otros. La información aquí obtenida será revisada para su posterior análisis. Sin duda alguna que a pesar de las brechas que todavía existen dentro de las tecnologías de la comunicación e información, en cuanto al acceso que pueden tener tanto profesores como alumnos a entornos virtuales de aprendizaje, por no tener un equipo móvil, una computadora o sencillamente una conexión a internet. Es innegable que la llegada de la pandemia a acelerado aún más el uso de los entornos virtuales de aprendizaje, ya que desde hace muchos años existen, solo que muchas instituciones no se habían interesado en usarlas a plenitud.

Online learning, or e-learning, is nothing more than a variant of the traditional education system that aims to resolve asynchronous communication between students and teachers. The intensive use of the internet, the development of the social web (2.0) and the rise of smart mobile devices have allowed the development of new modalities of education such as online education, which sometimes complements other modalities, such as face-to-face, and gives rise to the mixed modality, or “blended learning”. The methodology used for this research work focuses on a methodology oriented towards the need to investigate a situation precisely and coherently. Framed within a documentary-type bibliographic review, since we are going to deal with issues raised at a theoretical level such as the E-learning teaching model and its importance in times of pandemic in higher education. The technique for data collection is made up of printed, audiovisual and electronic materials, the latter such as Google Scholar, PubMed, among others. The information obtained here will be reviewed for further analysis. Without a doubt, despite the gaps that still exist within communication and information technologies, in terms of the access that both teachers and students can have to virtual learning environments, for not having a mobile device, a computer or simply an internet connection. It is undeniable that the arrival of the pandemic has further accelerated the use of virtual learning environments, since they have existed for many years, only that many institutions had not been interested in using them fully.
