  • Dante could not say what he had not seen, and his work develops a theory of the relationship between poetry and vision that is also part of the "dolce stil nuovo". Similar problems will recur over the centuries, particularly with Leonardo da Vinci, in representative figures - until today's (over?) - abundance of riches.
