Este traballo insirese no eido das relacións existentes entre a alimentación e a enfermedade, nun periodo que comprende a segunda merade do século XIX e o primeiro tercio do século XX. Recolle algúns dos conceptos manexados polos clínicos compostelanos e os sitúa nas circunstancias da época. Faise fincapié en dous alimentos: o viño e as uvas, salientando os presupostos teóricos que apoiaban a súa prescripción e buscando a pervivencia da súa imaxe curativa na memoria popular de Galicia.

This work is circumscribed to the relationship between food and illness running from the 2nd half of the XIX Century to the first rhird of the XX Century. It compiles sorne of the concepts used by the physicans of Santiago de Compostela, relartng them to the circumstances ar that time. Ir is focuses in two different yypes of food:
wine and grapes, highlighting che theoretical principies thac justified their prescripcion and seeking to what remains of their curative image in Galicia's popular memory
