Resumen de Diagnósticos y más allá: Tiempos, cuidados y maternidad en mujeres-madres de niños, niñas y adolescentes con diagnóstico en salud mental (Ciudad de Buenos Aires, 2018)

  El objetivo del artículo es analizar las transformaciones en las prácticas de cuidado y en los sentidos de la maternidad de mujeres-madres de niños/as o adolescentes que recibieron un diagnóstico en salud mental y fueron tratados por este durante 2018. Se exponen resultados de un estudio realizado en un hospital de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires. Como encuadre teórico, se integran aportes de la sociología del diagnóstico y la sociología del tiempo, desde una perspectiva de género. Los datos se obtuvieron de acuerdo con una metodología cualitativa, con entrevistas semi-estructuradas a tres mujeres-madres cuyo/as hijos/as asistieron al Área de Servicio Social del dispositivo Hospital de Día, y a cuatro profesionales (de psicología y trabajo social) del dispositivo. Los resultados abarcan dos ejes: prácticas de cuidados de las mujeres-madre hacia sus hijos/as y sentidos de la maternidad de mujeres-madres y profesionales. Las conclusiones marcan la incidencia del diagnóstico en salud mental de niños/as y adolescentes en lo vincular, lo laboral-económico, lo afectivo, la concepción del tiempo y las actividades, y el cuidado personal de las mujeres-madres y sus proyectos a futuro.

  The aim of the article is to analyze the transformations in the care practices and meanings of motherhood of women-mothers of children or adolescents who had a diagnosis in mental health and were treated by it during 2018. Results of a study performed in a hospital in the City of Buenos Aires are presented. As a theoretical framework, contributions from the sociology of diagnosis and the sociology of time are integrated, from a gender perspective. The data were obtained according to a qualitative methodology, with semi-structured interviews with three women-mothers whose children attended the Social Service Area of the Day Hospital device, and four professionals (psychologist and social workers). The results cover two axes: care practices of women-mothers towards their children, and the senses of motherhood of women-mothers and professionals. The conclusions mark the incidence of the mental health diagnosis of children and adolescents in the relationship, the labor-economic, the affective, the conception of time and activities, and the personal care of women-mothers, and their future projects.
