    The diversity of the applications of the red color and the manipulations of concretions on sites painted in the Neolithic age allows us to evoke practices parallel to the graphic act. The two activities, separately or jointly, participle in particular in the arrangement of sites and walls and in the execution of schematic figures, underline the symbolic importance of the periodic streaming and testify of a total taking possession of the space to be marked.

    They show themselves independently of the topography of sites and a various moments of their frequenting.

    La diversité des applications de la couleur rouge et des manipulations des concrétions sur les sites peints au Néolithique permet d’évoquer des pratiques parallèles à l’acte graphique. Ces deux activités, séparément ou conjointement, participent notamment à l’aménagement des sites et des parois et à l’exécution des figures schématiques, soulignent l’importance symbolique des ruissellements périodiques et témoignent d’une totale prise de possession de l’espace à marquer.

    Elles se manifestent indépendamment de la topographie des sites et à différents moments de leur fréquentation.
