  El presente trabajo tiene por objeto analizar y reflexionar acerca del alcance y trascendencia adquirida de un tiempo a esta parte a nivel global por los llamados bonos verdes, que constituyen instrumentos financieros de renta fija cuyos fondos generados se destinan a proyectos que impactan positivamente en el medio natural o en el desarrollo local, obteniendo al mismo tiempo una rentabilidad financiera. El objetivo último perseguido con estos instrumentos financieros no es otro que lograr reducir la huella de carbono para acelerar la transición energética y favorecer el medioambiente, contribuyendo además a diversificar la inversión de las empresas y Entes públicos.

  The purpose of this paper is to analyze and reflect on the scope and significance acquired from time to time at a global level by the so-called green bonds, which constitute fixed-income financial instruments whose generated funds are used for projects that have a positive impact on the environment natural or in local development, obtaining at the same time a financial return. The ultimate objective pursued with these financial instruments is none other than to reduce the carbon footprint to accelerate the energy transition and favor the environment, also helping to diversify the investment of companies and Public entities.
