  El trabajo parte de la historia cultural del lobo para identificar las vigentes y contrapuestas visiones, rural y urbana, que inciden sobre la especie, determinando un régimen jurídico que ha pasado de organizar el exterminio a garantizar la conservación, objetivo que cabe potenciar mediante vías de entendimiento y concordia entre las posiciones en conflicto, aunque finalmente tales vías no parecen haberse seguido en la inclusión del lobo en el Listado de Especies de Protección Especial, que depara algunas perplejidades.

  The work starts from the cultural history of the wolf to identify the current and opposing visions, rural and urban, that affect the species, determining a legal regime that has gone from organizing extermination to guaranteeing conservation, an objective that can be promoted through ways of understanding and concord between the conflicting positions, although in the end these do not seem to have been followed in the inclusion of the wolf in the List of Species of Special Protection, which brings some perplexities.
