The paper offers the interpretation of contextual meaning of aspect (factual and processual meaning) as the opposition between ‘a synchronic view of the situation’ and ‘a retrospective view of the situation’ The aspectual meanings are described as the phasal meaning (the meaning of the initiale phase, the intraterminale phase, the finale phase…). The presentation of each class is supplemented by graphs showing the relationships between the variables on the time axis.
