    [Resumo] A alianza terapéutica foi amplamente estudada. Diferentes autores de diferentes escolas souberon dar importancia a esa relación que xorde na consulta entre cliente e terapeuta. O termo foi definido e redefinido ao longo de diferentes décadas, as primeiras definicións daban importancia á contribución do terapeuta e as teorías máis modernas ven imprescindible a colaboración activa entre todas as persoas implicadas na alianza. Pero, que pasa se esta alianza rompe? Podemos reparala? Que debemos facer? No seguinte artigo queremos facerun percorrido polas orixes da alianza terapéutica, por que é importante manter esta alianza,os tipos de rupturas que existen ou que podendarse en terapia e solucións para reparala.

    [Abstract] The therapeutic alliance has been extensively studied. Different authors from different schools have known how to give importance to this relationship that arises in consultation between client and therapist. The term has been defined and redefined over different decades, the first definitions gave importance to the contribution of the therapist, and the most modern theories see as essential the active collaboration between all the people involved in the alliance. But what happens if this alliance is broken? Can we repair it? What should we do? In the following article we want to take a tour of the origins of the therapeutic alliance, why it is important to maintain this alliance, the types of ruptures that exist or that can occur in therapy, and solutions to repair it.
