Resumen de Recomendaciones de manejo selvícola para la conservación y gestión de carballeiras en Galicia

  Los bosques vírgenes, no afectados por la presencia o intervención humana, tienen mecanismos naturales propios para renovarse. El problema radica en que muy pocas de las masas arbóreas actuales, y en concreto las carballeiras gallegas, están exentas de intervención humana. La Selvicultura como técnica trata de forzar las pautas naturales de renovación para obtener la regeneración con el fin de garantizar la persistencia y estabilidad de las masas. Las recomendaciones de manejo selvícola que se plantean tienen por objeto estudiar y proponer las actuaciones más adecuadas para garantizar la persistencia y estabilidad de las masas de Quercus robur en Galicia, mejorar dicho medio forestal y aumentar su valor paisajístico y de uso social.

  The virgin forests, not disturbed by the human presence and contribution, have their own natural renovation mechanism. The problem is that only a few present tree stands, and more specifically the Galician oakwoods, are exempt from the human contribution. Silviculture as a technique, tries to force the natural regeneration patterns to obtain renovation with the object of guaranteeing the persistence and stability of the forests. Silvicultural management recommendations that are presented have the aim of studying and proposing the more adequate procedures in order to guarantee the persistence and stabillity of the Quercus robur stands in Galicia, improve this forest medium and increase their landscape and social use values.
