Resumen de ¿Construyendo un paisaje?: megalitos, arte esquemático y cabañeras en el Pirineo Central

  Este trabajo estudia la posibilidad de que la red de cabañeras del Alto Aragón que comunican la tierra llana con los Pirineos centrales este fosilizando antiguos caminos usados durante la Prehistoria reciente. Se han seleccionado y cartografiado sobre un mapa las vías pecuarias actuales, los principales asentamientos del Neolítico-Bronce, los dólmenes (y cromlechs posteriores) y las estaciones con arte rupestre esquemático. Sin desdeñar el indudable valor simbólico de megalitos y arte, la cartografía muestra que las construcciones megalíticas se localizan en los extremos septentrionales de las cabañeras, en torno a los pastos de verano, así como junto a los principales nudos de caminos. El arte esquemático, condicionado por la localización de los roquedos, parece marcar accesos a tramos fluviales donde abrevar los ganados durante sus desplazamientos

  This paper’s aim is the study of the current livestock trails network that in the Alto Aragón link the southern plains to the Central Pyrenees and whether they have fossilized old trails already used in recent Prehistoric times. In order to do that, we have selected the main Neolithic - Bronze Age settlements, dolmens, cromlechs and schematic rock art sites, which have been mapped with the current livestock trails network. Acknowledging the evident symbolic value of megaliths and rock art, our results seem to imply that the megalithic elements are located in the northern ends of those trails, around the summer pastures, as well as next to the main crossroads. Schematic art, conditioned by the presence of crags, could signal easy accesses from the trails to river sections where water the livestock during the migrations.
