Resumen de Effect of angular acceleration on the mechanical behavior of an exponentially graded piezoelectric rotating annular plate with variable thickness

M. Saadatfar, M. H. Zarandi

  • In this article, the influence of angular acceleration on the mechanical response of an exponentially graded piezoelectric material (EGPM) rotating annular plate with variable thickness placed in a magnetic field is studied.

As a result of angular acceleration, the Lorentz force exists in both radial and circumferential directions. Using the separation of variable method, three coupled governing partial differential equations (PDEs) are converted to ordinary differential equations (ODEs). Next, using Runge-Kutta and shooting methods, the equations are solved. The results demonstrate that considering angular acceleration has a considerable effect on the Lorentz force resulted from the magnetic field.
