The buildings for performing arts and its relation with the city and the society are the object of this study that aims to understand the representations of architecture and its detailed descriptions although the difficulty of obtaining trustful sources. The objecti-ve was to investigate the architecture of the theatrical places in Paris during 17thcentury. We know that great part of the presentations was held in adapted theaters in the jeux of paume or in the public thea-ters, besides those of the Court. We appealed to cultural history and to cartography to identify the constructions, finishing by elaborating a map of these theaters, based on the displacements of the troupes in the limits of Paris throughout a century.

Os edifícios teatrais e sua relação com a cidade e com a sociedade são o objeto deste estudo que parte das representações da arquitetura e suas descrições detalhadas - apesar da exiguidade de fontes confiáveis - no sentido de investigar a arquitetura dos lugares teatrais mais utilizados em Paris durante o século XVII, tanto nos teatros improvisados nos galpões dos jeux de paume, quanto nos teatros públicos. recorremos à história cultu-ral e à cartografia para identificar as edificações, terminando por elaborar um mapeamento destes teatros a partir dos deslocamentos das trupes teatrais mais populares nos limites de Paris ao longo de um século.
