El viaje como política editorial de las revistas culturales argentinas de la década de 1920: el caso de Inicial

    Durante la década de 1920, el viaje actuó como un elemento articulador de redes intelectuales entre Argentina, Europa y Latinoamérica. Tanto es así que se pueden distinguir diferentes modalidades de desplazamientos, como el “viaje reformista” (Bergel, 2019) o el “viaje de la vanguardia” (Calderón, 2020).

    En este marco, las revistas culturales jugaron un rol fundamental como catalizadoras de estas prácticas viajeras, pues las propiciaron y las respaldaron desde su redacción, así como en el contenido y la materialidad misma de sus publicaciones. Específicamente, este trabajo tiene por objetivo analizar los diferentes aspectos del viaje en Inicial. Revista de la nueva generación (1923-1927), en la cual se conjugaron Reforma Universitaria y vanguardia literaria. Para ello, se utilizará la propuesta metodológica planteada por Pita González y Grillo (2015), ya que ofrece una amplia posibilidad de abarcar tanto los elementos textuales como los materiales de las revistas culturales.

    During the 1920s, travel acted as an articulating element of intellectual networks between Argentina, Europe and Latin America. The extent of this phenomenon makes it possible to distinguish different types of travel, such as the “reformist travel” (Bergel, 2019) or the “avant-garde travel” (Calderón, 2020).

    Within this framework, cultural magazines played a fundamental role as catalysts for these traveling practices, since they fostered and supported them in both the content and the materiality of their publications. Specifically, this work aims to analyze the different aspects of travel in Inicial. Revista de la nueva generación (1923-1927), in which the University Reform and the literary avant-garde were combined. With this purpose, the analysis will be based on the methodological model proposed by Pita González and Grillo (2015), since it offers ample opportunity for covering both the textual elements and the materiality of cultural magazines.
