  Si se observan las políticas de responsabilidad social corporativa (RSC) de las empresas, suelen aparecer los conceptos de responsabilidad social, sostenibilidad y la solidaridad.

  Y también se puede observar que, a menudo, estas tres ideas aparecen algo confusas. Se mencionan como acciones de responsabilidad iniciativas que, en realidad, son de solidaridad; o se incluyen dentro de las iniciativas de solidaridad acciones que son más bien de responsabilidad o de sostenibilidad. Sin embargo, la responsabilidad social, la sostenibilidad o la solidaridad no son lo mismo; son formas diferentes de ejercer la responsabilidad, que se distinguen porque hacen referencia a modos de considerar y valorar las consecuencias de nuestras actuaciones. De hecho, puede haber, acciones de responsabilidad poco sostenibles, de solidaridad poco responsables o de sostenibilidad poco solidarias. En este artículo, se pretende clarificar los conceptos de responsabilidad, de sostenibilidad y el de solidaridad para que las empresas puedan diseñar con mayor coherencia el diseño y puesta en práctica de sus políticas de responsabilidad social.

  If corporate social responsibility (CSR) policies of companies are observed, the concepts of social responsibility, sustainability and solidarity usually appear. And it can also be observed that, often, these three ideas appear somewhat confused. There are initiatives that are mentioned as acts of responsibility which, in fact, they are acts of solidarity; or initiatives that are included under acts of solidarity which are rather acts of responsibility or sustainability. However, social responsibility, sustainability or solidarity are not the same;

  they are different ways of exercising responsibility, which are distinguished because they refer to ways of considering and evaluating the consequences of our actions. In fact, there may be actions of responsibility that are not very sustainable, of solidarity that are not very responsible or of sustainability which are not very solidary. This article aims to clarify the concepts of responsibility, sustainability and solidarity so that companies can design and implement their social responsibility policies more coherently.
