El siguiente texto quiere mostrar que el Libro del desasosiego, de Fernando Pessoa por Bernardo Soares, no es una mera y descomunal confesión del tedio vital. Lo que se propone a continuación, más bien, es una lectura del desasosiego pessoano en cuanto que experiencia poética del límite, experiencia arraigada, paradójicamente, en la serenidad y la ironía. Veremos que de este arraigo le viene la tonalidad y la cadencia poética al Libro, y la singularidad al poeta. Reconoceremos allí la imagen del hombre en cuanto que ser-del-desasosiego: agonismo entre la finitud y el ansia de infinitud, entre lo decible y lo indecible.

The following text wants to show that the Book of the Uneasiness, by Fernando Pessoa as Bernardo Soares, is not a mere and extraordinary confession of the vital boredom. What one sets out next, rather, is a reading of Pessoas’s uneasiness as the poetic experience of the limit, experience paradoxicalally rooted in serenity and irony. We will see that from this root it comes both the tonality and the poetic cadence in the “Book…”, as well as the poets’s singularity . There we will recognize the image of man under the sign of uneasiness: confrontation between the mortal limits and the anxiety of infinity, between the expressable and the unspeakable thing.
