Resumen de Da fixação textual das inscrições lusitanas de Lamas de Moledo, Cabeço das Fráguas e Arronches: o contributo do "Modelo de Resíduo Morfológico" (MRM), seus resultados e principais consequências interpretativas

  The fixation, as rigorous as possible, of ancient texts acquires maximum relevance in the case of languages which have long since disappeared, such as Lusitanian. The intense deterioration of certain areas of the epigraphic areas in inscriptions written in this language has divided the scientific community as to the reading of certain words contained therein, thus hampering the full understanding of such documents. The new “Morphological Residual Model” (MRM) technique, developed by one of the authors (HP) and now applied to the rock monuments of Cabeço das Fráguas and Lamas de Moledo, as well as to the stele of Arronches, offers objective and impartial results which make it possible to definitively clarify some of these doubts. Starting from this renewed and more exact fixation of the texts, we will not hesitate (J.C.R.) to draw, from now on, the appropriate interpretative conclusions.

  A fixação, tanto quanto possível rigorosa, de antigos textos adquire máxima pertinência no caso de línguas desde há muito desaparecidas, como o Lusitano. O intenso desgaste de determinadas zonas dos campos epigráficos nas inscrições redigidas nesse idioma tem vindo a dividir a comunidade científica quanto à leitura de certos vocábulos nelas exarados, ferindo assim a plena compreensão de tais documentos. A nova técnica “Modelo de Resíduo Morfológico” (MRM), desenvolvida por um dos autores (H. P.) e ora aplicada aos monumentos rupestres de Cabeço das Fráguas e de Lamas de Moledo, e ainda à lápide de Arronches, oferece resultados objectivos e desapaixonados que permitem esclarecer de forma definitiva algumas dessas dúvidas. Com base nessa renovada e mais exacta fixação dos textos, não nos furtaremos (J.C.R.) ainda a retirar, desde já, as convenientes ilações interpretativas.
