    El Castillo de Otiñar, pese a enmarcarse en un área destaca a nivel histórico, cultural y patrimonial, presenta una marcada ausencia de investigación. Con el presente trabajo pretendemos iniciar la labor investigadora en Otíñar a través de su estudio desde la arqueología de los restos de su recinto amurallado, identificando en este varios sectores y subsectores. Queremos con este trabajo, no solo dar lugar a una investigación de mayor calado y un avance en el conocimiento histórico, sino también poner de manifiesto la importancia de Otíñar y así lograr una figura de protección para la fortaleza.

    The Castle of Otiñar, despite being part of an area that stands out on a historical, cultural and patrimonial level, presents an important lack of research. With this work we intend to start the research work in Otíñar through its study from the archeology of the remains of its walled enclosure, identifying various sectors and subsector. We want not only to give rise to a bigger investigation and an advance in historical knowledge, but also to highlight the importance of Otíñar and so achieve a figure of protection for the fortress.
