    El presente estudio pretende analizar el pensamiento de Max Horkheimer. El punto de partida es la interpretación que Javier Hernández-Pacheco hizo de la filosofía de Horkheimer. A partir de ahí, indagamos en lo que Horkheimer llamó “el anhelo de lo totalmente Otro”. Finalmente, tratamos de evaluar en qué medida la interpretación propuesta por Javier Hernández-Pacheco es confirmada o no por nuestra propia interpretación del pensamiento social, político y religioso de Max Horkheimer.

    The present study seeks to analyze the thought of Max Horkheimer. The starting point is an analysis of Javier Hernández-Pacheco’s interpretation of Horkheimer’s philosophy. From there, we further examine what the German philosopher called “the desire for the completely Other”. Finally, we evaluate the degree to which Javier Hernández-Pacheco’s thesis concurs with our own interpretation of the social, political and religious thought of Horkheimer.
