Cualquier acercamiento a la figura de Aquiles es un encuentro con la tristeza y la muerte, con diversidad de muertes y también con la respuesta del sentimiento humano ante ellas. En el presente trabajo, analizaremos la iconografía de algunos de los asuntos más destacados en relación con las hazañas del héroe: la muerte de Troilo, la muerte de Patroclo y la muerte de Héctor, partiendo de los prototipos forjados en el arte antiguo y observando las principales modificaciones icónicas acaecidas en el tiempo.
Any approach to the figure of Achilles is an encounter with sadness and death, with a diversity of deaths, and also, with the emotional human response to them. In this paper, we will analyse the iconography of some of the most outstanding themes in relation to the hero’s deeds: the death of Troilus, the death of Patroclus and the death of Hector, starting from the prototypes forged in ancient art and observing the main iconic modifications occurred over time.
