It covers the principal pronominal and verbal systems of address across Romance; sources of innovative Romance pronouns and form of address; encoding of number, gender, reciprocal/non-reciprocal intimacy, politeness, deference, and distance; sociolinguistic variables conditioning distribution of forms of address; grammatical mismatches between person, number, and gender; variation in matching verb forms; intralingual variation; phonological), morphological; syntactic, and lexical strategies for marking the vocative; inverse address.
