  • Resumen
    • The context in which the manuscript of the medieval novel Curial e Güelfa was discovered in the second half of the 19th century, together with the fact that Manuel Milà i Fontanals did not encourage the dissemination of this finding, created some doubt about the circumstances surrounding the finding of Curial by the Catalan scholar: which reactions did the announcement of the news provoke? Why was it not edited by Milà i Fontanals himself? Which role did intellectuals such as Antonio Paz y Melia, head of the Manuscript Section of the Spanish National Library, and Antoni Rubió i Lluch, the first editor of Curial e Güelfa, play in the dissemination of this work in the last third of the 19th century?
