Neoextractivismo, espacio de mercado y derecho a lo sagrado: el pueblo Mapuche en el Chile neoliberal

    En este trabajo se analiza el neoextractivismo que rige en Chile como parte de lainstauración del modelo económico neoliberal en los años setenta del siglo XX, así como la actuación del Estado chileno en tanto agente del mismo y en tanto productor de un espacio de mercado en el que confluyen diversas actividades extractivas, analizando la contraposición entre éste y los espacios sagrados del pueblo mapuche, en el caso particular de la movilización en defensa del Espacio Sagrado del Ngen Kintuante en el Río Pilmaikén, frente a diversos megaproyectos que se ha pretendido instalar en él, reflexionando sobre la injusticia en torno a ello y sobre el derecho a lo sagrado de las comunidades indígenas del lugar, identificando el sustento legal al que pueden apelar para acceder a dicho espacio, así como los retos del Estado chileno respecto a este derecho fundamental de los pueblos indígenas que habitan en el mismo.

    This paper analyzes the neo-extractivism that prevails in Chile as part of the establishment of the neoliberal economic model in the seventies of the 20th century, as well as the rol of the Chilean State as agent of the same and as producer of a market space in which converge various extractive activities, analyzing the contrast between this space and the sacred spaces of the Mapuche people, in the particular case of the mobilization in defense of the Sacred Space of the Ngen Kintuante in Pilmaikén River against various megaprojects, reflecting on the injustice around this situation and on the right to the sacred of the indigenous communities of the place, identifying the legal support to which they can appeal to access said space, as well as the challenges of the Chilean State regarding this fundamental right of the indigenous peoples that inhabit it.
