  Aunque el término “recreación histórica” es más conocido por unos que por otros, incluso aquel que apenas lo ha escuchado en un par de ocasiones en su vida sabe que se trata de una forma particular de representar y revivir la historia, una actividad que en principio debería estar al alcance de todo el mundo. Pero ¿es esto realmente así o hay alguna diferencia por simple cuestión de sexo que haga que la experiencia sea distinta para hombres y mujeres? Desde problemas administrativos hasta cuestiones fisiológicas, pasando por multitud de aspectos subjetivos, lo cierto es que hay pequeños detalles que hacen de la presencia de la mujer en la recreación algo digno de estudio. A lo largo del presente artículo se va a poner el foco de atención en la presencia de la mujer en la recreación y todo lo que eso implica, realizando un análisis en base a la experiencia y testimonios de varias recreadoras, principalmente.

  Although the term “historical reenactment” is better known by some than by others, even those who have heard about it just twice in its life know that it is a particular way of representing and reliving the history, an activity that should be available for everyone. But, does this really happen or is there any difference in terms of sex which makes the experience distinct for men and women? From administrative problems to physiological issues, through a lot of subjective facts, there are certainly small details that turn the presence of women at reenactment something worthy of study. The presence of women at reenactment and all that it implies will be the main aim in this article, focusing on the analysis of reenactresses’ experiencies and testimonies.
