    En Bolivia, el Estado Plurinacional se institucionalizó en 2009 por medio de la Asamblea Constituyente, luego de un amplio periodo de movilizaciones sociales. Sin embargo, la idea de plurinacionalidad había aparecido en 1983, en el contexto de los debates del sindicalismo campesino. El objetivo del artículo es analizar las características de la noción de plurinacionalidad en la Constitución Política, historizando sus dimensiones más relevantes. La hipótesis es que esta formulación fue capturada por la noción de Estado, enfatizando su institucionalización en desmedro de su potencial político en la reconfiguración de las relaciones interétnicas e interculturales. Teórica y metodológicamente trabajaré desde la historia de los lenguajes políticos.

    The Plurinational State in Bolivia was institutionalized in 2009 by the Constituent Assembly (Asamblea Constituyente) after a long period of social movements. However, the idea of Plurinationality was born in 1983 in the context of peasant unionism. The objective of this article is to analyze the characteristics of Plurinationality in the Political Constitution and historize its most relevant dimensions. The hypothesis is that the formulation was overseen by the State which emphasized its institutionalization at the cost of its political potential in the reconfiguration of inter-ethnic and intercultural relations. The theory and methodology will be examined from the perspective of the history of political discourse
